Thermage FLX
Monopolar RF for deep skin tightening
About This Treatment
Thermage FLX uses 6.78MHz monopolar RF to deliver volumetric heating from dermis to subcutaneous fat. FLX generation features AccuREP technology that measures impedance in real-time for automatic energy optimization.
Delivers both immediate collagen contraction and months of neocollagenesis in a single treatment.
Mechanism of Action
RF current at 6.78MHz generates frictional heat via tissue impedance, raising dermal temperature to 65-75°C. This causes collagen triple helix denaturation/contraction (immediate tightening). Subsequent wound healing produces new type I collagen, with remodeling continuing over 6 months.
Indications
Expected Results
Immediate tightening + peak results at 2-6 months. Clinical trials show 87% of patients rated as "improved." Results last 1-2 years.
Clinical Evidence
Risks & Side Effects
Treatment pain (mitigated by cooling), transient redness/swelling (hours to 1 day). Rare surface burns, fat atrophy. Proper energy settings crucial.
Recommended Home Care
