DOODTH Thread Lift
PDO/PCL thread mechanical lift with collagen induction for natural rejuvenation
About This Treatment
DOODTH Thread Lift uses absorbable PDO (polydioxanone) or PCL (polycaprolactone) threads for non-surgical facelift. Barbed/cog threads inserted subdermally mechanically lift tissues to address sagging. During thread absorption, inflammatory response induces collagen I/III synthesis, enhancing natural lift over 8-12 weeks.
Mechanism of Action
Barbed/cog absorbable threads are inserted into subcutaneous fat/SMAS layers. Barb structures anchor in tissue providing mechanical lift. PDO threads absorb in ~24 weeks, PCL in 12-18 months. Foreign body reaction during absorption increases TGF-β expression promoting collagen III (new collagen) synthesis. Even after thread absorption, newly formed collagen tissue maintains lift.
Indications
Expected Results
Immediate lift + sustained improvement via collagen induction at 8-12 weeks. PDO lasts 6-12 months, PCL 12-24 months.
Clinical Evidence
Risks & Side Effects
Swelling (35%), dimpling (10%), paresthesia (6%), thread visibility/extrusion (4-2%), rare infection (2%). Asymmetry possible. Operator skill significantly affects outcomes.
