PRP Therapy

Concentrated platelets from your own blood | Growth factor-driven skin regeneration

Duration
30-60 min
Downtime
1-2 days
Sessions
3-4 sessions (4 wk intervals)

About This Treatment

PRP therapy concentrates platelets and growth factors from your own blood via centrifugation, then injects into skin. Key growth factors—PDGF, VEGF, FGF, TGF-β—stimulate fibroblasts to synthesize collagen and induce angiogenesis.

Highly safe with zero allergy/rejection risk since derived from your own blood. Effective for elasticity loss, wrinkles, and skin texture improvement, particularly dark circles, fine lines, nasolabial folds, and skin firmness. Dermal density increases over 3-6 months with improved skin quality.

Mechanism of Action

Growth factors secreted from PRP platelets (PDGF, VEGF, FGF, TGF-β) act on dermal fibroblasts to promote extracellular matrix production. Collagen I, III, and elastin synthesis increase significantly. VEGF simultaneously promotes neovascularization, improving oxygen and nutrient supply. Results in elasticity recovery, moisture retention, wrinkle reduction, and texture improvement.

Expected Results

Systematic review of 9 RCTs and 2 observational studies confirms PRP improves wrinkles, texture, and increases dermal density. Dark circles, wrinkles, nasolabial folds, and skin firmness significantly improve at 3-6 months. DOI:10.1016/j.enfcle.2025.502161
