Picosecond Spot
High-energy picosecond for pigmented lesion removal
About This Treatment
Picosecond spot uses focused high-energy picosecond laser to efficiently remove pigmented lesions (nevus of Ota, lentigines, etc.). Superior melanin shattering efficiency versus nanosecond lasers, particularly for deep pigmented lesions.
Mechanism of Action
High-energy picosecond pulses (5-10J/cm²) focused on pigment create intense photoacoustic pressure waves fragmenting pigment to micro-particles. Deep melanin shattering efficiency is high; removal often possible in 1-2 sessions.
Indications
Expected Results
80-95% improvement in 1-2 sessions. Difficult lesions (nevus of Ota) significantly improved in 2-3 sessions.
Clinical Evidence
Risks & Side Effects
Transient redness/swelling (2-3 days), rare PIH. Deep lesions may form crusts with repeated passes.
