About This Treatment

Juvela tablets contain tocopherol acetate (vitamin E), insurance-covered in Japan. As a fat-soluble antioxidant vitamin, it protects cell membrane phospholipids from oxidative stress and improves peripheral circulation to promote skin turnover. Used for pigmentation, chilblains, peripheral circulation disorders, and rough skin.

Mechanism of Action

α-Tocopherol: ①captures peroxyl radicals in lipid bilayer to stop lipid peroxidation chain reactions, ②dilates peripheral vessels improving skin microcirculation, ③modulates prostaglandin metabolism for anti-inflammatory effects, ④forms antioxidant network with vitamin C (which regenerates oxidized vitamin E). Photoprotection and wound healing promotion confirmed.

Indications

General indication (see detailed description)Pigmentation / dullness

Expected Results

Peripheral circulation improvement noticeable at 2-4 weeks. Pigmentation improvement requires 2-3 months. Oral administration increases skin α-tocopherol levels 28-130 fold. Whitening maximized with vitamin C + L-cysteine triple combination.
