About This Treatment
High-viscosity fillers (Juvederm Volux, Radiesse) injected at mandibular angle, jawline, and chin for skeletal-level contouring. Volux uses highest-viscosity VYCROSS HA; Radiesse uses CaHA microspheres for strong tissue support.

Mechanism of Action
Volux: Highly cross-linked VYCROSS HA injected at periosteum creates skeletal-like support. High G' (elastic modulus) provides gravitational resistance. Radiesse: CaHA microspheres in CMC gel provide immediate volume + biostimulation of type I collagen via fibroblast activation.
Indications
Expected Results
Immediate contour improvement. HA (Volux): 18-24 month duration. CaHA (Radiesse): 12-18 months + collagen stimulation. Usually 1-2 sessions to goal.
Clinical Evidence
Risks & Side Effects
Swelling (3-7 days), bruising, asymmetry. Most critical risk is vascular occlusion (facial artery/marginal mandibular artery). Aspiration testing and anatomical safe zones essential. Hyaluronidase must be on hand.
