About This Treatment
HArmonyCa by Allergan is the world's first HA + CaHA (calcium hydroxyapatite) dual hybrid filler. It combines HA's instant volumizing with CaHA's long-term collagen stimulation in a single product.
CaHA microspheres dispersed in HA matrix provide immediate volume (HA) followed by fibroblast activation and neocollagenesis (CaHA) over months. Contains lidocaine for comfort.
Mechanism of Action
Cross-linked HA provides immediate tissue lift and volume. CaHA microspheres (25-45μm) composed of biocompatible calcium and phosphate physically stimulate fibroblasts via TGF-β pathway for 3-6 months of neocollagenesis. CaHA absorbs through natural calcium metabolism over 12-18 months.
Indications
Expected Results
Immediate effect (HA) + long-term effect (CaHA collagen). Final results stabilize at 3-6 months. HA lasts 12-15 months; CaHA collagen effect lasts additional 6-12 months.
Clinical Evidence
Risks & Side Effects
Swelling/bruising at injection site (3-7 days). CaHA component cannot be dissolved with hyaluronidase (only HA portion). Rare nodule formation. Avoid thin-skinned areas (under-eyes, lips).
