GOURI (Liquid PCL)
Particle-free liquid PCL for uniform collagen stimulation
About This Treatment
GOURI is the world's first particle-free liquid polycaprolactone (PCL) injectable. Unlike traditional PCL biostimulators (e.g., Ellansé) that use microspheres, GOURI contains fully dissolved liquid PCL in a proprietary carrier.
This allows more uniform tissue distribution, reduced nodule risk, and natural collagen stimulation. Developed in Korea, expanding across Australia and Europe.
Mechanism of Action
Liquid PCL forms a fine network structure in tissue after injection, promoting fibroblast migration and proliferation, inducing type I and III collagen synthesis. Non-particulate form reduces inflammatory response and enables more uniform collagen distribution. PCL hydrolyzes over 6-12 months, replaced by neocollagen.
Indications
Expected Results
Noticeable improvement from neocollagen at 4-12 weeks. Duration 18-24 months. Tends to have less swelling/downtime than Ellansé. Significant skin quality and fine wrinkle improvement reported at 12 weeks.
Clinical Evidence
Risks & Side Effects
Mild swelling and redness at injection sites (2-5 days). Lower nodule risk than particulate PCL but not zero. Non-reversible. Bruising (rare). Long-term safety data still accumulating.
