About This Treatment
Electroporation (advanced iontophoresis) applies microsecond-level high-voltage pulses to skin, temporarily creating pores in cell membranes. When actives (peptides, DNA, growth factors) applied during pore formation, normally non-penetrating macromolecules directly enter cells. 10-100x deeper penetration than traditional iontophoresis.
Mechanism of Action
100-1,000V high-voltage pulses (microsecond range) alter electrical potential across cell phospholipid bilayer. Temporarily forms ~100nm pores allowing non-penetrating peptides/polynucleotides to cross membrane over 10-20 minutes. Cell membrane auto-repairs; side effects minimal.
