Mechanism of Action
AbobotulinumtoxinA has same SNAP-25 cleavage mechanism as OnabotulinumtoxinA but different protein complex. Ona is 150kDa complex while Abo is non-complexed or smaller complex. Results in wider diffusion post-injection and broader effect on adjacent muscles. Faster onset possibly due to smaller molecular size.
