About This Treatment

Delgocitinib is a topical pan-JAK inhibitor used in Japan for atopic dermatitis and recently studied/approved in some regions for chronic hand eczema. It is useful when topical steroids are inadequate or inappropriate.

Hand eczema management still requires irritant/allergen control and barrier protection.

Mechanism of Action

Topical pan-JAK inhibition reduces local cytokine signaling and itch/inflammation pathways in skin.

Expected Results

DELTA 1/2 showed improved IGA-CHE treatment success and patient-reported itch/pain in moderate-to-severe chronic hand eczema.

Risks & Side Effects

Application irritation, folliculitis, acneiform eruption and infection worsening may occur. Broad/long-term use requires medical supervision.
