Alma Hybrid
Hybrid resurfacing combining CO2 ablation and 1570 nm non-ablative energy
About This Treatment
Alma Hybrid combines 10,600 nm CO2 ablative resurfacing with 1570 nm non-ablative thermal remodeling. It is used for acne scars, pores, wrinkles, photodamage and surgical scars with adjustable downtime-efficacy balance.
Mechanism of Action
CO2 creates ablative microchannels while 1570 nm heats surrounding dermis for collagen remodeling. The ratio can be adjusted for scar remodeling and recovery burden.
Indications
Expected Results
Scar depth, pores and texture are usually assessed after around three sessions. Higher CO2 ratios increase downtime and PIH risk.
Clinical Evidence
Risks & Side Effects
Redness, swelling, oozing, crusting, infection, PIH, scarring and melasma worsening may occur. Asian skin often needs staged conservative settings.
