About This Treatment

Acne peel combines salicylic acid (BHA: lipophilic) and glycolic acid (AHA: hydrophilic) for chemical peeling. BHA dissolves deep pore sebum, AHA gently removes stratum corneum. Fundamentally controls acne, pore enlargement, and sebum excess. Short downtime; regular treatments improve acne-prone skin condition itself.

Mechanism of Action

BHA (salicylic acid 2-3%) lipid-soluble directly dissolves sebum in pilosebaceous units. Meibum adhesion disrupted, unclogging pores. Simultaneously, AHA (glycolic acid 7-10%) weakens desmosomes between corneocytes, shedding old keratin. Turnover accelerates; comedones (white and blackheads) diminish. Pores physically shrink.

Expected Results

60-75% acne improvement, 35-50% pore reduction after 4-6 regular sessions. Marked sebum reduction. Monthly maintenance recommended for sustained effects.

Risks & Side Effects

Redness/mild warmth (hours-1 day), dryness, light desquamation (3-5 days). Sensitive skin irritation possible. Rare PIH. Pre-treatment skin stabilization important.
