Tixel by Novoxel uses a titanium heat matrix (81 pyramid-shaped pins, 400°C) briefly contacting skin to create fractional microchannels without any laser. "Ablative" and "non-ablative" modes controlled by contact duration.
Pain score averages 3.1/10 with 0-1 day downtime. Extremely low risk of bleeding, scarring, or PIH compared to lasers.

Titanium pins (400°C) contact skin for 6-18ms, creating 120μm diameter thermal columns at 200-500μm depth. Induces wound healing similar to fractional photothermolysis. Short contact = collagen coagulation/remodeling; long contact = ablation + drug delivery channels.

Retrospective study (150 patients, skin types I-V): Safe and effective. 75-90% improvement in periorbital hyperpigmentation (12 sessions). Erythema resolves in 3.5 days average. No bleeding, scarring, or PIH.
