NeoGen PSR Nitrogen Plasma Skin Regeneration
British thermal nitrogen-plasma platform for nonfractional, full-field skin regeneration
이 치료에 대해
NeoGen PSR is a British prescription device that ionizes medical-grade nitrogen with ultra-high-frequency energy and delivers controlled thermal energy without relying on a laser wavelength or target chromophore. It differs from the nonthermal cold atmospheric plasma already in the catalog and from pinpoint plasma-arc sublimation such as PLEXR: NeoGen heats the treated field nonfractionally while leaving the immediately treated epidermis in place as a biological dressing. Protocols range from repeated low-energy sessions to a higher-energy single treatment.
RealSelf reported an 81% quarter-over-quarter increase in search and pageview interest in Q1 2026. U.S. FDA 510(k) K221873 lists wrinkles and rhytids, superficial skin lesions, actinic keratosis, viral papillomata, seborrheic keratosis, and acne scars for the 5-mm nozzle, while the 25-mm nozzle is intended for tissue coagulation in dermatologic procedures. Authorization varies by nozzle, purpose, and region, so the locally applicable label must be checked.
작용 기전
Ultra-high-frequency energy converts nitrogen into plasma, displacing oxygen as a brief pulse of thermal energy reaches the skin. It creates nonviable epidermal change and a dermal zone of thermal modification, triggering wound healing, collagen remodeling, and elastin renewal. The effect is not chromophore-dependent; higher energy increases both depth and subsequent shedding or downtime. A small product-specific study suggests short-term antimicrobial and microbiome effects, but it does not establish durable aesthetic outcomes.

기대 효과
The product-specific peer-reviewed human evidence is an exploratory study of five acne and five atopic-dermatitis patients that explicitly used NeoGen and found short-term microbiome changes at 24 hours. Tranexamic-acid iontophoresis followed treatment, and the study did not assess durable cosmetic benefit. Device-class studies reported improvement in erythema, porphyrin, fine lines, pores, and texture after three sessions in 20 Asian acne patients and periorbital-wrinkle improvement in an 18-person split-face trial. Both are small, and superiority over lasers or other plasma platforms has not been established.

위험 및 부작용
Pain or heat, erythema, edema, dryness, scaling, crusting, pruritus, temporary acne worsening, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation, infection, herpes reactivation, burns, prolonged redness, and rare scarring may occur. Higher energy increases recovery and complication risk. Darker skin, recent tanning, impaired healing, and active infection require conservative selection and careful aftercare.
