Low-dose oral minoxidil is increasingly used in dermatology for AGA/FAGA when topical minoxidil is irritating or difficult to continue. It may be off-label depending on region and requires cardiovascular risk review.
Blood pressure, edema, hypertrichosis, pregnancy status and drug interactions must be assessed.
작용 기전
Minoxidil may increase hair diameter and density through potassium-channel opening, vascular effects and anagen prolongation.

기대 효과
Hair diameter, density and photography are assessed over 6-12 months. Initial shedding may occur; combination with topical or antiandrogen therapy may be considered.

위험 및 부작용
Hypertrichosis, edema, palpitations, tachycardia, hypotension, headache and rare pericardial effusion may occur.
