Jeuveau in the US and Nuceiva in Europe are prabotulinumtoxinA products used for dynamic wrinkles such as glabellar lines. They add another option alongside Botox, Dysport and Xeomin.
작용 기전
Botulinum toxin type A cleaves SNAP-25, reducing acetylcholine release at the neuromuscular junction and weakening dynamic muscle contraction.

Phase 3 trials showed efficacy over placebo for glabellar lines. Onset is usually within days and duration is commonly about 3-4 months.

Bruising, headache, brow ptosis, eyelid ptosis, asymmetry and rare swallowing or breathing symptoms may occur. Off-label areas need clear consent.
