Medical hair removal uses Selective Photothermolysis targeting melanin to deliver laser energy to hair follicles. Main wavelengths: Alexandrite (755nm), Diode (810nm), Nd:YAG (1,064nm).
Diode works on broad skin types; Nd:YAG is safest for dark skin.
작용 기전
Laser light absorbed by melanin in hair shaft converts to heat, damaging stem cell region (bulge) and dermal papilla. As per Anderson & Parrish (1983) selective photothermolysis theory, pulse duration must be shorter than the target's thermal relaxation time.
적응증
기대 효과
70-90% permanent hair reduction after 5-8 sessions. Only effective on anagen (growth phase) hair, requiring multiple treatments aligned with hair cycles.
임상 근거
위험 및 부작용
Pain (cooling mitigates), transient redness/swelling. Rare burns, PIH, folliculitis. Contraindicated on tanned skin.
