Environ AVST is a progressive vitamin A (retinyl propionate) step-up system developed by Dr. Des Fernandes in South Africa.

Step 1 (low) through Step 5 (high), increasing concentration every 2-4 weeks. Retinyl propionate offers unique metabolic profile with higher bioactivity but less irritation than retinol or tretinoin.

Certified by Swiss Vitamin Institute. Suitable for sensitive skin.

작용 기전

Retinyl propionate is metabolized in viable epidermis/dermis to retinal→retinoic acid via a unique pathway, achieving higher retinoid bioactivity than retinol or retinyl palmitate at the dermal level. Activates RAR/RXR for collagen synthesis, epidermal turnover normalization, and DNA repair. Gradual concentration increase upregulates retinoid receptors while minimizing retinoid reactions.

위험 및 부작용

Step-up approach minimizes irritation but transient dryness/mild redness possible. Higher steps (4-5) may cause typical retinoid reactions (peeling). Sunscreen recommended.
