Brella SweatControl Patch
Three-minute targeted alkali thermolysis for underarm sweat reduction
이 치료에 대해
Brella is a single-use in-office sweat-reduction patch applied for about 3 minutes. In the United States, it received De Novo authorization on April 7, 2023 for adults with primary axillary hyperhidrosis.
It offers a low-downtime option for patients who want to avoid injections or nightly medication, using targeted alkali thermolysis (TAT) to deliver localized thermal energy to underarm sweat glands. At present it is mainly a US-centered treatment, and regulatory status in other regions should be checked individually.
작용 기전
The alkali component reacts with water in sweat to generate localized heat, creating controlled microthermal injury in eccrine glands and temporarily reducing sweat output. It is distinguished by being needle-free and aluminum-free.
적응증
