How It Works

Retinol is metabolized in skin to retinal→all-trans retinoic acid. Retinoic acid binds RAR (retinoic acid receptors), activating: ①Keratinocyte proliferation/differentiation, normalizing turnover to ~28 days ②TGF-β/Smad signaling in dermal fibroblasts, upregulating type I/III collagen gene expression ③MMP suppression, preventing existing collagen degradation. 0.5% offers optimal balance of efficacy and tolerability for OTC products.

How to Use

Use in PM routine only (increases photosensitivity). After cleansing/toner, apply 2-3 drops thinly over entire face. Start twice weekly, gradually increase to nightly over 2-4 weeks. MUST use SPF50+ sunscreen the following morning.

Expected Results

Improved texture and smoothness at 4-6 weeks. Fine wrinkle depth reduction at 8-12 weeks. 6 months of consistent use shows deep wrinkle improvement, increased elasticity, and overall rejuvenation.

Precautions
